As we prepare for the upcoming holiday season, we want to thank each Member for allowing us to continue to serve you with reliable electricity just as we have for almost 90 years!

Our motto in recent years has been Investing in Tomorrow. As this Year in Review will show, 2024 was the year many of our past strategic investments came to fruition.

It’s evident every time you flip the lights on or come home to cool air on a hot summer day. On those rare occasions when the power does go out, CoServ’s highly trained linemen and system operators respond, cutting most outages to minutes, not hours. While people are CoServ’s biggest and most important investment, the new smart grid technology pinpoints the location of outages and in some cases can redirect and restore electricity without human intervention.

But our investment goes beyond just delivering reliable electricity on a resilient grid.

It could be the dozens of nonprofits that received CoServ Charitable Foundation grants this year, allowing them to help more clients with food, shelter, security or other essentials. It could be a child making a smart choice about a downed power line because of a safety message from CoServ’s Energy Education Specialists. Or a high school senior graduating with a head start on college tuition thanks to a $5,000 CoServ scholarship.

Please enjoy this look back at 2024 to see how your investment paid dividends, not just this year but for decades to come.

Focusing on Reliabilty

CoServ’s 500-plus Employees work tirelessly behind the scenes whether it’s Vegetation Management keeping tree limbs away from power lines, our drone inspection team identifying problems before they cause an outage, the new smart grid technology that identifies outages and restores power faster, or the Gas Technicians installing a new steel gas line.

Commitment to Safety

Safety is one of CoServ’s Core Values. We reinforce that through our “I Do It For Them” safety campaign, which reminds all our Employees to work safely so they can make it home to their loved ones each day. Through our Energy Education presentations, we pass on safety-related messages to local children and first responders in our communities.

Concern for Community

Since 1937, the people of North Texas have counted on us to be there, and that trend continues today. From the CoServ Charitable Foundation (CCF) and Academic Initiatives to volunteering in your community and showing up at community events, we strive to be more than an energy company.

Dedication to People

As CoServ continues to add new electric and gas meters, our Employee count grows with it. In 2024, CoServ surpassed 550 Employees. We’re also closing in on 500,000 combined electric and gas meters served. Through all the growth, CoServ has worked hard to maintain the same culture while ensuring Employees have a sense of purpose. No matter the job, it ultimately comes down to providing exceptional service to you.
