CoServ Presentations
CoServ has eight different age-appropriate presentations we can do at the schools in the communities we serve. Whether it's electricity or natural gas safety, a board game that teaches critical thinking or a hands-on circuit building class, CoServ's Academic Initiatives have impacted thousands of North Texas students.
Our energy experts also do presentations for first responders so they know what to do in case of an electric or natural gas emergency.
Arcing Demo
Our Energy Education Specialists safely demonstrate what can happen if different materials come into contact with high-voltage electricity. The presentation demonstrates the fundamentals of electric safety in terms children can understand.
Career Day
CoServ is a great place to work and there are many diverse careers and areas of expertise here. Schedule one of our Employees to come talk to your students about what they do and how they got here!
Circuit Building
Students participate in a hands-on learning experience building simple, series and parallel circuits.
Gas Safety Demo
CoServ Gas Technicians explain how natural gas is delivered to homes and all the safety measures that are in place to keep the community safe.
POWERrace®
This giant tabletop board game teaches 4th–6th grade students how electric infrastructure is built and what it takes to power a community. The game, similar to Monopoly, teaches teamwork, critical thinking and strategy. Entire classrooms are divided into teams and play all at once.
POWERtown
Our newest presentation this is a scaled-down version of the Arcing Demo that can be done inside the classroom. The POWERtown demonstrates several scenarios involving high-voltage electricity.
Read Across America
Each year our Employees visit elementary campuses and read a book to children as part of our commitment to literacy. The annual event is on March 2 in honor of Dr. Seuess's birthday.
Solar Station Tour
The CoServ Solar Station in Krugerville is a great place to host your next field trip! Students can learn how solar panels work and the careers that are available in the field of renewable energy.
Coming Soon!! STEM Stations
In Fall 2025, CoServ will add new interactive STEM presentations. These hands-on activities help students take their first steps into their future careers. The activities target different age groups and STEM-related topics, including critical thinking, design, and reasoning. Click here to learn more!
