As a CoServ Electric Member, you own this cooperative. This is why CoServ Electric puts your interests first, unlike Retail Electric Providers that focus more on stockholders and investors. In every business decision, we ask ourselves, "How does this benefit our Members?" We take our job seriously because we are accountable to you. Along with ensuring stable rates, CoServ provides you with resources to identify energy wasters and implement ways to lower your bill.

The voice of Membership.
From 2007 through 2012, CoServ’s American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) scores have steadily increased. In 2006, CoServ’s ACSI score was a 70.5—not bad, but we knew we could do better. We’ve worked over the years to ensure that CoServ exceeds your expectations, and our satisfaction ratings have risen accordingly. In 2012, our cumulative ACSI score rose to a 79.5—proof of our continued improvement in customer service.

Testimonial from a CoServ Member regarding the benefits of CoServ Electric membership:
Dear Mr. Engelke and CoServ Electric:
Thank you so much for your generous contribution of $5,000 to the Lake Cities Education Foundation. This gift will be added to the permanent “CoServ Electric Teacher Assistance Endowment,” which CoServ Electric established in 2007. This endowment now totals $33,750 for use in awarding an innovative teaching grant for deserving teachers of the Lake Dallas Independent School District.
We are most appreciative of CoServ Electric’s continued support and look forward to our continued partnership.
Sincerely,
Karla Landrum, Executive Director
Lake Cities Education Foundation

Dear CoServ,
Thanks for coming out to do the energy audit this year Just want you to know that in 2008, the year before your team started coming out to give great advice on energy efficiency, my electric consumption was 21,329 KWH for the calendar year. In 2012, after four CoServ visits, my electric consumption was down to 17,023 KWH. That is a reduction of 4,306 KWH, just over 20%!
Thanks much, Willie S.

It all boils down to this: The business model of electric cooperatives such as CoServ Electric puts Members first, while retail electric providers put investors first. This isn’t a bad deal if you're a high-ranking stockholder in the company. But we think it's clear that the cooperative approach serves Members best. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you, and we thank you for letting us do so.
