Why can I not pay my Coserv bill directly from my bank account with a couple of mouse clicks in a few seconds like I can every other bill I get. This includes phone bill, credit card bills and the like. Why is there a third party and a charge involved?

COSERV wants all customers to go to electronic billing. But the cost of paying the bill Online is much more than the cost of a stamp. When will COSERV eliminate the cost of paying the bill Online. It would be a motivator for customers to use an Online Billing Service.

With the billions spent trying to add capacity to stressed high-tension lines, add more lines, and more generation, only to still be faced with rolling blackouts... WHY ON EARTH is not a commensurate amount INSTEAD spent on putting solar panels on homes, and smart meters, so that A) total electricity supply is INCREASED, while B) the load on the distribution system is DECREASED at the same time. Rolling blackouts- gone. Capacity increases- offset. Customer's bills- deceased. Total system generation- increased. Fossil fuels- decreased. Future- protected.

If a customer home had solar panels to generate their own power. Please explain how Coserv would treat a customer generated KWh's that are not used and fed back to the grid? ie would my meter roll backwards and cancel out the KWh's already used? will Coserv bank any KWh's that flowed back onto the grid for future use for this customer? or would Coserv buy them back at the same rate the customer pays?

We had solar panels installed and are charged $10.00 each month for "Customer Charge DG", since we are considered an energy generator. Our question is twofold: 1. Is this 'add-on' charge a discretionary charge imposed by CoServ or is it mandated per State law or regulation? 2. Is there any legislation at the State level drafted or in committee that would exempt a residential consumer from incurring this charge in the future, and require the utility entity (CoServ) to reimburse or credit the residential consumer for the excess electricity produced but not used by the residential consumer that currently reverts back to the grid? Would such reimbursements or credits be calculated at the same rates charged during the respective billing cycle? Thank you.

Q1. I want to fence the side of my house, but my gas and electric meters are inside the area I want to fence. Would fencing in the meters create a problem for Co-Serv meter readers, and if so, is there a way around this problem? Co-Serv provides both my gas and electric service. Q2. I am seriously considering building solar panels on my roof now that HOA restrictions have been eliminated in the Texas legislature. How do I align this with my Co-Serv service? Other utility providers have programs in place for helping reduce the energy cost to their seniors, disabled and veterans. Wouldn't it make more sense to help out our own customers instead of helping agencies and other religious groups that are intentionally and non-intentionally helping illegal aliens with our misdirected contributions? Some of those agencies help put pressure on those illegal aliens to join their church. By helping in-house we can insure where our money goes and a lot more of us would be willing to contribute more money. Wouldn't that be uplifting for all of us and we need to keep our money at home, don't we?

My questions have to do with Smart Meters. Are you aware of the suspected medical concerns associated with the meters? Why does CoServ need the minute detail gathered by the Smart Meters? All that should be needed is the total amount of usage from the last reading. What security does CoServ have for all the personal usage data it gathers? Recent hacking of data bases at Linked-In and others show that nearly any data base can be accessed by a determined hacker.

I have more of a comment than a question: Some say the safety of the smart meters has been sensationalized by the media but I would really like to hear about the safety tests conducted on the Smart Meters to ensure the safety of the residents AND what we as consumers can do to protect our selves. I realize not everyone is concerned about this and believe they are 100% safe—they just might be—but for those of us who are concerned, I believe this should be addressed. Don't just tell us the devices are safe. Tell us, "for those of you who are concerned, here is what you can do to prevent X radiation by ". For example does aluminum foil really block/prevent the radio waves from passing through? If so, then tell us how to do this while still allowing the meters to transmit the data CoServe needs to process the bills.
